Mansfield District Council has secured a full closure order for a property on Chadburn Road linked to criminal activity and persistent anti-social behaviour.
The council and Nottinghamshire Police shut down the house after evidence showed ongoing nuisance, disorder and criminal activity at the property. The activity was having a significant negative impact on the community.
What the closure order means
The Closure Order prohibits access to the property and allows enforcement agencies to take further action against those responsible for the issues. Further investigation of the tenants is also being undertaken.
Council response
Councillor Anne Callaghan, Portfolio Holder for Housing at Mansfield District Council, said the order demonstrates the council's determination to take firm action where criminal activity and serious anti-social behaviour affect communities.
Callaghan thanked local residents for reporting issues and providing information, as well as council officers and Nottinghamshire Police for their work in securing the outcome.

This closure order follows two other successful closure orders obtained in January 2026 after the council used new powers to repossess properties linked to anti-social behaviour and criminal activity.
