Mansfield District Council is recruiting an independent Chair to lead the town's Neighbourhood Board as part of the Government-backed Pride in Place programme, which will bring £20 million of investment into Mansfield over the next 10 years.

The role marks a significant milestone in the regeneration initiative, which aims to put local people at the heart of decision-making and give communities a stronger voice in how funding is used to improve neighbourhoods.

What the programme will focus on

The Pride in Place programme will concentrate on building stronger communities, creating thriving places, and enabling local people to take back control of their neighbourhoods.

Residents, community groups and partners will be closely involved in shaping priorities and decisions about how the investment benefits the town.

The Chair's role

The Chair will act as a champion for Mansfield, bringing people together, leading community engagement and ensuring that decisions reflect the voices of local residents.

The position is a voluntary role, with reasonable expenses covered.
